Pikes Peak – One of Colorado’s proudest landmarks, Pikes Peak is the most frequented mountain in North America, and second in the world only to Mount Fuji in Japan (pikes-peak.com). The first ascent of the Peak was made in 1820 by a botanist, Dr. Edwin James, and two of his colleagues. Today, the Peak hosts a myriad of events including the Pikes Peak marathon, which attracts thousands of runners from all over the world. |

Air Force Academy – This prestigious establishment that combines a University and a military base attracts some of the brightest minds from around the world. The Academy is committed to building up leaders to be the best in their chosen fields. The base is open to visitors who want to come see some of the most infamous sites including the AFA Chapel, the Honor Court, Arnold Hall, the Cadet Field House, Falcon Athletic Center, Falcon Stadium, or the Visitor Center. |

The Broadmoor Hotel – One of the most renowned attractions in Colorado Springs, the Broadmoor Hotel is notorious for hosting some of the world’s most prominent figures and events. With an award winning day spa, luxurious golf course, swimming pools, hot tubs, restaurants, children’s programs and more, it is the longest-running consecutive winner of both the AAA Five-Diamond and Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star awards. The Broadmoor sits on over 3,000 lush acres right next to Cheyenne Mountain. |

Garden of the Gods – This gorgeous compilation of rocks is registered as a National Natural Landmark. In 1859, the ‘Pikes Peak or Bust’ was drawing people from all over the country in hopes of discovering gold. Two surveyors came from Denver to begin a townsite that would be called Colorado City. In the midst of exploring locations, they came upon these immaculate sandstone formations. One of them claimed that it was a place “fit for the gods”. It has been called Garden of the Gods ever since. |

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo – Who doesn’t love going to the zoo? The mission of Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is to turn passive onlookers into active participants with a mix of education and hand-on experiences. As one of only a handful of accredited zoos in the country that does not receive local or regional public tax support, nearly 100 percent of the Zoo's income is generated from earned revenues, membership dues, donations, corporate sponsors and grants. |

Downtown – Colorado Springs’ downtown encompasses an enjoyable mix of fine dining, art appreciation and rich history. Home of the infamous Antlers Doubletree Hotel and prominent Colorado College since the late 1800’s, the downtown area still features some of its original structures built during the ‘Pikes Peak or Bust’ era. Seven Falls – Featured on National Geographic’s list of International Waterfalls, Seven Falls is a breathtaking site during the day, and even more astounding at night when the colorful lights of the Falls come on. Take your pick between either riding the mountain elevator to the top or climbing all 224 steps, but once you get to the top and look out from the Eagle’s Nest Observation platform, be prepared to be amazed. |

Olympic Training Center – Built as one of three training facilities for Olympic athletes, the OTC is headquarters to the Olympic Committee administration and the Olympic Training Center programs. In 1997, a new $23.8 million complex was dedicated as a state-of-the art sports science and athlete center which includes housing, dining, recreational facilities and other services for up to 557 coaches and athletes at one time. |
